Eric Finds Success In Recovery
"I am in recovery. I go to my Narcotics Anonymous meetings. I go to school, I go to work, and I work hard."
Stapleton, 29, proudly displays the certification he earned from Delgado College as an emergency medical technician. He now works as a supervisor at a coffee shop.
As a resident of a Volunteers of America SRO, which provides housing and support for persons in recovery, Stapleton has been sober for 27 months and goes to Narcotics Anonymous meetings six to seven times a week.
Stapleton said he feels God has put positive people in his path to help him rebuild his life. He wants to “give back” to New Orleans by working in emergency services.
