Donald Wright: Trusted Employee, Valued Tenant
Donald Wright once lived in a group home because of mental health challenges.
Today, with the help of Volunteers of America’s Supportive Housing program,Wright has a full-time job and his own apartment.
Wright has used the independent living skills he learned at Volunteers of America for maximum benefit.
His landlord says he is a valuable tenant. He works as a hotel porter, and conscientiously manages his illness by working toward goals and keeping doctor’s appointments.
Wright stays close to his Volunteers of America facilitator, who supports and helps with all aspects of his life.
