Veteran Services

Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans is committed to serving veterans and their families. The men and women who bravely protected our country often return home with wounds, both physical and mental, which make it difficult to return to civilian life. We aim to ease their transition by helping them find housing and jobs.

Featured Partnership: The Home Depot Foundation
Volunteers of America has partnered with The Home Depot Foundation to provide quality homes to veterans and their families. To date, the Foundation has pledged $2.8 million over three years to repair and rehab properties where veterans and their families live.

Over the past couple of years, generous grants from The Home Depot Foundation have funded a few revitalization projects at our Veterans Transitional Housing Facilities.
