After Years In Foster Care, Geneva Finds ‘Forever’ Mom
Geneva is a sweet, friendly 13-year-old, who has had a tough childhood. Her own family could not provide the care and attention she needed, and she entered the foster care system in 2003, where she remained for six years.
But Geneva was fortunate. Volunteers of America, working with Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, a signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, and the state Office of Community Services, recently helped find a “forever” family for Geneva.
Geneva is now united with her new adoptive mother, Tawana, and is happy and thriving. We believe all children such as Geneva deserve a family of their own, and we work each day to make that a reality.
