Many able-bodied persons with
adequate resources find recovery from the hurricane a
challenge. It has been even more difficult for persons in need.
Katrina Aid Today (KAT) helps by providing case management services for long-term recovery to survivors. Those helped include a disabled women trapped in floodwaters and a family who needed legal help to establish homeownership to qualify for aid. KAT is one of our hurricane recovery initiatives.
