Since the storm, Volunteers of America has reenergized. We’ve brought back most all of our pre-Katrina programs and started new ones to boost the recovery. For instance, as community-wide volunteer coordinator, we’ve placed more than 16,000 persons donating time to the recovery.
Volunteers of America is eager to work cooperatively with members of the news media.
We can offer:
- authoritative sources on a wide range of social issues such as adoption, at-risk youth and disaster recovery
- experts for interviews and comments on news stories related to our areas of expertise
- feature and success stories.
